Truely Made in Dream

Yesterday, the new Hayabusa Shinkansen made its first trips Shin-Aomori (The north of the main Island of Japan) to Tokyo (The middle of Japan).  I saw its arrival in Sendai and shot a little movie.  As you can see, many people lined up for this event.  When you see it in real life, the Hayabusa looks unreal: its extremely long nose is a design from Star Trek or other Science-Fiction series, not the real world.  It looks like is does not belong.  Anyway, the future is now!  And indeed: made in dream!

Gisteren heeft de nieuwe Hayabusa Shinkansen zijn eerste reizen tussen Shin-Aomori (Het noorden van het grooste eiland van Japan) en Tokyo (Het midden van Japan) gemaakt.  Ik ben de aankomst in Sendai gaan filmen.  Zoals jullie kunnen zien, waren er wel meer belangstellenden.  Wanneer je de Hayabusa in het echt ziet, heeft die iets onwerkelijks: de extreme lange neus is een ontwerp van Star Trek of andere Science-Finction series, maar niet uit de echte wereld.  Het lijkt alsof de Hayabusa hier nog niet hoort.  In ieder geval, the future is now! En inderdaad: made in dream!

It was difficult taking pictures, but I managed a couple. /  Foto's maken was moeilijk, maar een paar zijn er toch gelukt.

Of course, there are already cookies and bread boxes based on the Hayabusa. / Natuurlijk is er al de nodige merchandise: Hayabusa koekjes en brooddozen.

Then there is a persistent rumour concerning the colour of the Hayabusa: instead of being based on some old legend or tradition, the colours are said to derive from the following (extremely popular) Manga character.  Judge for yourself!  /  Dan is er nog hardnekkige roddel en achterklap over de kleur van de Hayabusa: in plaats van gebaseerd te zijn op de een of andere legende of traditie, zou de kleur afkomstig zijn van het volgende zeer populaire Manga figuurtje.  Oordeel zelf!
